Two weeks ago, Lawson Aschenbach competed in four races in two days – the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Lone Star Le Mans, two rounds of GTS racing in Pirelli World Challenge, and a dash between the two from Austin to Sonoma.
Shortly after completing his first stint in the Stevenson Motorsports No. 9 Audi R8 LMS at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, Aschenbach caught a flight to California to compete with Blackdog Speed Shop in PWC. The plan worked flawlessly to have the driver compete in the multiple events, with Aschenbach’s finishing results not being too bad either. The Stevenson Audi managed a 12th place finish in class in Austin, while Aschenbach scored 7th and 6th place finished in his PWC events after missing out on qualifying.
Tune in to this feature episode of SportsCar America to hear Lawson share his thoughts on his crazy weekend.
