Acura revealed the race liveries for the Nos. 93 and 86 Acura NSX GT3 race cars that will be fielded by Michael Shank Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship – and yes, they feature the color orange.
Along with the livery unveil, MSR team owner Michael Shank, revealed the Rolex 24 at Daytona driver lineups. Verizon IndyCar Series ace, Graham Rahal, joins endurance driver Mark Wilkins and regular season drivers, Katherine Legge and Andy Lally in the No. 93.
The second IndyCar pilot in Acura’s stable is Ryan Hunter-Reay who will join Tim Dyer along with Ozz Negri and Jeff Segal in the No. 86.
The two liveries will be mirrored images from one another featuring a slick gray, white and black hashing along with the historic Acura orange. To some fan’s disappointment, the design won’t feature the traditional color on the dive planes.
The Nos. 86 and 93 are special to the marque as Acura celebrates 30 years since its establishment in 1986. Honda Performance Development was founded in 1993 and will be celebrated by the sister car.
