SCA Feature – Ed Brown on Prototype Retirement and Racing Business

Ed Brown is the CEO of Tequila Patron and announced earlier this week that after 13 years in the sport, he was going to step away from the cockpit of Prototype racing. There’s no doubt that race fans have come to love and know the now-iconic green and black liveries sporting the all-too familiar Patron bee, an image that is now tradition to sports car racing. Brown took the time to speak to Slipstream about his decision and what originally attracted him to racing.

As a mechanical engineer, Dusty’s passion is for sports cars and endurance racing. In his opinion, there’s nothing better than a race car closely based on a model that you can go out and buy from the manufacturer showroom. He’s very particular about his writing utensils and appreciates a great, cruelty free pomade.
